Day 1: Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park

Pick up from your hotel in Moshi at 8:30am and drive to Lake Manyara National Park. This park is famous for its expansive 220km² lake whose shores sometimes may not be seen for the pink carpet of flamingos.  You will enjoy a game drive with the chance to see Lake Manyara’s famous tree-climbing lions.  As the sun sets you will head to have dinner and overnight in permanent tents at Haven Nature Lodge and Campsite.

Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater Tour

Rise early at 6am for breakfast then head to Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area.  Descend into this infamous crater to view some of Tanzania’s more rarely seen wildlife including the black rhino.  You will have a full-day game drive on the open grassy plains of the crater, stopping for a picnic lunch at Ngoitoktok hippo pools.  After your fill of wildlife watching you will then ascend the crater to head back to Haven Nature where you will have dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Tarangire National Park – Arusha

Following breakfast at the camp, head into Tarangire National Park to enjoy a game drive with the opportunity to see large groups of elephants that make this national park famous.  Tarangire is home to many of the iconic Baobab trees as well as the Tarangire River flowing through the park, attracting wildlife year round! After lunch depart the park (approx. 2pm) to return to Arusha (arrive 5-6pm).
